MN Historical Society bookplate. Perforated title page is loose in the binding, from the Hill Reference Library. RARE. Good minus in grey cloth wraps, frayed at the spine, white hand lettering on spine no longer legible. Some pages cracking but whole. This is a period piece for St. Paul history. It is full of tips for homemakers with many business advertisements throughout. The historic church by the famous architect Cass Gilbert. He went on to design the Minnesota State Capitol, New York?s Woolworth building, and the U.S. Supreme Court building among many others ? for this commission he had the inside track: His mother was a founding member of the congregation. The building was dedicated in 1888. The Ladies cook book was printed in 1892.
