The study addresses a long-speculated phenomenon, often cited by both skeptics and believers. 2. (From bookseller's memo in book): "It is not widely known that the multiplication of food is not confined to Jesus' miracle of the loaves and fishes...Even less known, even by students of parapsychology and the occult, are the incidents of food multiplication in modern times and that experimental work has been done in the attempt to establish the reality of the phenomenon".Haley's study went into a second edition (1960) which is now reprinted and available on on Amazon.
