Very good in midnight blue cloth with gilt decorated leather spine. No dust jacket. No former owner names. "The First Flight Across the Polar Sea", the English translation, was published in 1927. The 1925 expedition to fly over the North Pole was led by renowned Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen. This incredible feat met with world-wide acclaim and spurred continued interest and investment in polar exploration. As always, a hair raising tale of survival. Binding is tight, sturdy, and square.
