A unique "novel" by a priest of the Archdiocese of St. Paul, MN. Spine lightly sunned. Else good. Keenan's papers reside at St. Thomas. He was born February 26, 1906 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He attended and graduated from the College of St. Thomas (1927) and the Saint Paul Seminary (1931). He received his MA in English from Columbia University in 1933 and spent the summer of 1932 studying at Cambridge University. In 1934 he began teaching in the English Department at the College of St. Thomas, a position he held until 1960. Fr. Keenan died on November 14, 1969 in St. Paul. Whatever possessed him to share the neighborly pastoral insights of this deeply Catholic city, we do not know.
